IN-HOUSE LABS
Labs are drawn and sent to LabCorp or Quest based on the patient’s insurance policy. Special discounted pricing is offered to those patients who are fee for service.
EKG
Even though there continue to be new technologies developed for the diagnostic evaluation of patients with cardiovascular disease, the electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) retains its role in the interpretation of cardiac rhythm, conduction system abnormalities, and in diagnosing decreased blood supply to the heart muscle.
SPIROMETRY
Spirometry is used to measure flow rates and lung volumes. It is the most commonly used pulmonary function test and is useful in the evaluation of patients with respiratory symptoms like a cough or shortness of breath or for those who have risk factors for the respiratory disease for example smoking, occupational exposures, and family history. In the office setting, spirometry is typically used to detect, confirm, and monitor obstructive airway diseases like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
DEXA SCAN
DEXA or Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry is a clinical tool to diagnose osteoporosis, predict fracture risk, and monitor response to therapy.
